Abstract

Verrucous growths of the genitalia in young patients are usually condylomata acuminata. In five cases this type of genital lesion, viewed by light microscopy, showed dysplastic cellular changes of Bowen disease, a diagnosis that was further confirmed by electron microscopy. Bowen disease should be included in the differential diagnosis of verrucous lesions of genitalia in young people and should be ruled out by histologic examination.

年轻患者生殖器的疣状生长通常是尖锐湿疣。在5例此类生殖器病变中，经光学显微镜观察显示有鲍温病的发育异常细胞变化，这一诊断通过电子显微镜进一步得到证实。鲍温病应列入年轻人生殖器疣状病变的鉴别诊断中，且应通过组织学检查予以排除。
