The management of pain in cancer patients requires experience and a therapy-protocol. Analgesics should be given orally and on a fixed schedule. Necessary is a cascade which allows a stepwise escalation. Patients should be treated with mild analgesics first and continuous infusions of narcotics may be used in the final stage of cancer. The combination of analgesic and psychopharmacological agents augments the analgesic effect. Quite often the side effects of analgesic therapy require an individual schedule.
癌症患者疼痛的管理需要经验和治疗方案。镇痛药应口服且按固定时间表给药。需要一个能逐步升级的用药阶梯。应首先用轻度镇痛药治疗患者，在癌症末期可使用麻醉药持续输注。镇痛药与精神药理学药物联合使用可增强镇痛效果。镇痛治疗的副作用常常需要个体化的给药方案。
