The influence of dextrans of various molecule sizes on blastic transformation induced by Con A and PHA lectins was studied. It was found that particularly dextran of smaller molecule inhibits blastogenesis induced by Con A. The dextran of greater molecule is less so inhibitory. On the other hand, in the effect of dextrans on the induction provoked by PHA their stimulating component is rather pronounced. Discussing the obtained results it was pointed out that the dextrans depending on the molecule exhibit the affinity to lymphocyte receptors for lectins and both blocking and stimulating effects may be involved.
研究了不同分子大小的葡聚糖对刀豆球蛋白A(Con A)和植物血凝素(PHA)诱导的母细胞转化的影响。发现特别是较小分子的葡聚糖抑制Con A诱导的母细胞生成。较大分子的葡聚糖抑制作用较小。另一方面,在葡聚糖对PHA诱导作用的影响中,其刺激成分相当明显。在讨论所得结果时指出,葡聚糖根据分子大小表现出对凝集素淋巴细胞受体的亲和力,可能涉及阻断和刺激两种作用。
