Determinations of serum beta 2-microglobulin (s-beta 2-m) were made in daily serum samples from 31 patients, in the initial postoperative period after renal transplantation. In the majority of acute rejection episodes s-beta 2-m preceded an increase of serum creatinine. Bacterial infection in this early posttransplant period did not seem to induce an increase of s-beta 2-m. S-beta 2-m determinations might be used in monitoring antirejection therapy, but this needs to be further investigated.
对31例肾移植患者术后初期每日血清样本中的血清β2-微球蛋白（s-β2-m）进行了测定。在大多数急性排斥反应发作中，s-β2-m在血清肌酐升高之前就出现了升高。移植术后早期的细菌感染似乎并未导致s-β2-m升高。s-β2-m测定可用于监测抗排斥治疗，但这还需要进一步研究。
