[Demonstration of the direct projections of ACTH immunoreactive neurons on the complex of the locus coeruleus in cats].

Using a combined retrograde HRP and immunohistochemical technique in the cat, we have demonstrated the existence of direct descending projections of the ACTH immunoreactive neurons in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus to the pontine tegmentum, especially, to the nucleus locus coeruleus alpha.
