The structure of the O-antigen of the lipopolysaccharide from an avirulent strain (M4S) of Pseudomonas solanacearum has been investigated by methylation analysis, n.m.r. spectroscopy, and N-deacetylation-deamination, followed by analysis and controlled Smith-degradation of the product.
