[Various factors affecting the length of hospitalization of schizophrenic patients].

A total of 256 schizophrenics were examined for the effect of different variables on the duration of their hospital stay over the entire period of the disease. An analysis was performed with the help of the rehabilitation automated information system, using formalized case reports. The duration of hospitalization was shown to depend not only on the clinical characteristics of the patient but also on his or her personality and socio-psychological characteristics both in the process of illness and in the premorbid state.
