Cyclic AMP concentrations in a non-toxic nodular goiter were measured by means of the radiocompetitive protein-binding assay. It has been shown that cold thyroid nodules contain a higher concentration of cAMP than the macroscopically normal, extra-nodular thyroid tissue.
