Elimination of porcine parvovirus from infected cell cultures by inclusion of homologous antiserum in the nutrient medium.

Cell cultures of porcine fetal kidney and porcine adult thyroid gland were freed of infection with porcine parvovirus by adding homologous viral antiserum to their nutrient medium. The use of antiserum appeared practical and effective for eliminating the virus from contaminated cell lines.
