The ability of lymphocytes isolated from cases of canine thymic lymphomas to activate the alternative complement pathway has been studied. In a series of 14 thymic lymphomas 5 were found to activate the alternative pathway. This ability to activate was not abrograted by trypsinisation of the cells. It was found that normal canine thymic lymphocytes did not activate the alternative pathway.
对从犬胸腺淋巴瘤病例中分离出的淋巴细胞激活替代补体途径的能力进行了研究。在一系列14例胸腺淋巴瘤中，发现有5例能够激活替代途径。这种激活能力不会因细胞经胰蛋白酶处理而消除。结果发现，正常犬胸腺淋巴细胞不会激活替代途径。
