Stereotactic biopsy of cerebral space-occupying lesions.

Brain imaging has improved and more and more cerebral lesions are discovered. A direct surgical approach can be dangerous. Stereotactic biopsy appears as an excellent alternative because it provides one not only with a precise histological diagnosis but also gives a real three-dimensional picture of a lesion.
