[Considerations on the residual antibacterial activity and bacteriologic examination of the urine].

The authors coupled the bacteriological examination of 600 samples of urine with a tests for the detection, on the same materials, of antibacterial drugs. 16% of the samples were found positive in the antibacterial drug test. The authors emphasize the necessity for the bacteriologist of being aware of the antibacterial activity of urine samples, in order to correctly evaluate the results of bacteriuria tests.
