A 17-year-old apprentice affected with siderosis bulbi and lentis of his right eye, was examined by biomicroscopy, ultrasonography and x-rays without evidence of an i.o. foreign body. After extraction of the cataractous lens all signs of siderosis disappeared within six weeks. The histologic examination of the lens showed a small particle of subcapsular rust.
一名17岁患有右眼眼球铁质沉着症和晶状体铁质沉着症的学徒，接受了生物显微镜检查、超声检查和X线检查，未发现眼内异物迹象。摘除白内障晶状体后，六周内铁质沉着症的所有体征均消失。晶状体的组织学检查显示有一小粒囊下铁锈。
