Vasomotor reactions after gold sodium thiomalate are well recognized. When they do occur they are rarely a clinical problem. We describe a 50-year-old woman with rheumatoid arthritis in whom a severe postinjection vasomotor reaction was associated with a cerebral vascular accident.
