The levels of natural cell-mediated cytotoxicity could be augmented by administration of Aloctin A (Alo A), a lectin having anti-tumor activity. i.v. administration of Alo A induced augmentation of cytotoxicity by spleen cells and by peritoneal exudate cells (PEC). On the other hand, i.p. administration of Alo A induced augmentation of cytotoxicity by PEC but not by spleen cells. The effector cells seemed to be natural killer cells.
