Integrated monitoring of closed and low flow anesthesia circuits.

Lowering of the fresh gas flow in a rebreathing anesthesia circuit is associated with certain risks, which may be diminished by increased familiarity of the circuit and it's behaviour. Such experience can be achieved through purposeful monitoring of the circuit and the patient. This paper will deal with clinically practical monitoring methods and their integration into a common time axis.
