Calcium content of platelets from 57 patients undergoing total hip replacement was measured preoperatively. 13 patients developed deep vein thrombosis (D.V.T.) as recognized by 125I-fibrinogen technique and confirmed phlebographically. Preoperatively this group of patients exhibited a significant lower mean platelet calcium content than the group without postoperative D.V.T. It seems to be possible that special platelet parameters could hint an increased risk from postoperative D.V.T.
对57例接受全髋关节置换术的患者术前测量其血小板钙含量。13例患者发生了深静脉血栓形成（D.V.T.），通过125I - 纤维蛋白原技术确认并经静脉造影证实。术前，这组患者的平均血小板钙含量显著低于无术后深静脉血栓形成的组。特殊的血小板参数似乎有可能提示术后深静脉血栓形成风险增加。
