Abstract

Four hundred and seventy-four patients were examined by flexible cystoscopy under topical urethral anaesthesia in the out-patient clinic in the first year after the technique was introduced as the routine method for diagnostic cystoscopy. The technique has proved safe, efficient and highly cost-effective.
