Abstract
ICN in Brasilia last year issued a Statement on the Nurse's Role in Safeguarding Human Rights. It is a sad commentary on human affairs that many countries actually train their police in the practice of torture. This article describes how nurses form part of a team in Copenhagen at an International Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Torture Victims.
