The pathogenetic mechanisms of acute infectious diarrhoea are reviewed. Not much is known with respect to viral diarrhoea. Parasites obviously cause diarrhoea, mainly by invasion of the intestinal mucosa. Bacteria act either by invasion or by production of enterotoxins and cytotoxins.
本文综述了急性感染性腹泻的发病机制。关于病毒性腹泻，目前了解不多。寄生虫显然会导致腹泻，主要是通过侵袭肠黏膜。细菌则通过侵袭或产生肠毒素和细胞毒素来引发腹泻。
