Immunological barrier of the central nervous system in neurosurgical diseases.

The immunoelectrophoresis in cerebral tumours, craniocerebral injuries and cerebral haemorrhages showed antibodies against the pathologically changed cerebral tissue, especially in the case of severe traumata and malignant cerebral tumours. Serum and cerebrospinal fluid of 85 patients were examined. Eight of them showed positive results with antibodies (4 gliomas, 1 craniopharyngioma, 3 severe cerebral contusions with disturbance of consciousness).
