[Experimental methodologic rationale of the variable results of determining cytosolic estradiol receptors in human breast cancer].

The results of hormonal treatment of mammary tumor patients based on foregoing estradiol receptor investigations are very different by the several authors. In common these results are not enough satisfying. It is tried to show that the dextran-charcoal method widely used in clinical receptor investigations permits a lot of different experimental manipulations which can influence the final result in a deciding manner. To get utilizable results it is an indispensable demand to observe precisely standardized conditions.
