[Account of a macular hemorrhage in a 25-year-old Congolese man with homozygous sickle cell anemia].

The author reports a case of right macula hemorrhage that has brought a sudden impairment of the vision in a 25 years old African. Homozygous sickle-cell anemia has been diagnosed thanks to etiological investigations with a special mention of hemoglobinophoresis . Generally, the sickle lesions in the eye are delimited all around the retina. Macula localisation, like the case reported by the author, has rarely ever been described.
