Light and electron microscopic study of conjunctival pigmentation in a 27-year-old woman who used eyelid cosmetics is presented. The deposited material consists of ferritin particles and probably iron oxide and carbon. A review of the literature on conjunctival pigmentation secondary to eyelid cosmetics is presented.
