Electron beam therapy for difficult cutaneous basal and squamous cell carcinoma.

Electron beam therapy was used to treat twenty-nine patients with squamous or basal cell carcinomas considered unsuitable for surgery or conventional superficial X-ray therapy. Primary control failed in two patients at 2 and 5 years. Good cosmetic and functional results occurred in all patients treated. The advantages of this therapy in the management of cutaneous tumours which are difficult to treat are discussed.
