[Management of iatrogenic injuries of the blood vessels].

A survey of causes and conditions conducive to the development of iatrogenic vascular lesions in 34 patients suggested a classification of the causes in order to specify major trends and methods of their prevention. Specific management strategies are outlined for different kinds of iatrogenic vascular lesions. Timely and adequate reconstructive surgery produces good functional results in cases of severe vascular lesion accompanied with marked regional ischemia.
