From 1966 to 1977, 49 patients suffering from Peyronie's disease received percutaneous radiation treatment with 137 Cesium (137Cs). Therapy results were followed up for a period of from 2 months to 11 years. The method of 137Cs radiation is described and the results compared with other forms of therapy. Percutaneous radiation therapy with 137Cs seems to be the preferred treatment of Peyronie's disease because of its few side effects, rapid effectiveness, and low cost.
