Abstract

Sets of polyclonal isomeric anti-carbohydrate antibodies are present in sera of rabbits immunized with vaccines of non-viable streptococcal cells containing antigenic glycans. Anti-lactose antibodies have been purified by affinity chromatography and have been subjected to dissociation, electrophoretic and agar diffusion analyses. The anti-lactose antibody preparation was found to be composed of 16 isomeric proteins which yield 16 heavy chains and 16 light chains.
