In a retrospective study prognosis and therapy of spontaneous intracerebral hematoma (SIH) is discussed. Using the cranial computerized tomography it is easy to come to the diagnosis. Intensive care is the most important factor. Lethality was 28% in a group of 85 patients. Intensive care is also possible in non-neurological hospitals. - None of the patients were treated surgically.
