A malformed child whose previously alcoholic mother had taken disulfiram.

We report the case of a severely malformed and retarded girl whose previously alcoholic mother had taken disulfiram early during the pregnancy, but denied having taken alcohol. The child quite closely resembled the clinical picture of the fetal alcohol syndrome.
