Ultrastructural evidence of thin intercapillary anastomoses in the renal glomerulus.

Electron-microscopic examination of mouse kidneys revealed in the glomeruli very thin (0.7 micron) vessels, the wall of which has the same structure as the remaining glomerular capillaries. The authoress considers them intercapillary anastomoses which were detected already previously by injection with India ink, however, the structure of their wall was not known hitherto.
