Data on 15 cases of primary endometrial carcinoma stage I (mean age - 26.0 years) cured by administration of hydroxyprogesterone capronate without surgery and radiation therapy are presented. Clinical recovery in 11 cases was confirmed by repeated cytological and histological examinations of the endometrium. Hydroxyprogesterone-capronate dose per course ranged within 25-83.0 g. In 4 cases of moderately-differentiated adenocarcinoma, hormonal treatment was carried out in combination with chemotherapy. When tumor regression was confirmed histologically steroid contraceptives were administered to induce menstrual cycling artificially. At the closing stage of therapy estrogens and progestagens of clomiphen citrate were given in succession to restore ovulatory cycle. Prospects of administration of progestagens in certain cases among young patients with endometrial carcinoma stage 1 as a separate method of therapy are discussed.
