Abstract
Shock and coma developed suddenly in a 54-year-old male undergoing irrigation of an infected and fistulous herniorrhaphy wound with 3% hydrogen peroxide (HO). Marked ST elevation was seen in almost all electrocardiogram (ECG) leads. Within one hour the patient recovered completely, and the ECG returned to normal. The mechanism of this occurrence was most likely widespread embolization of oxygen microbubbles released from absorbed HO. The danger of hydrogen peroxide irrigation in closed spaces is emphasized.

一名54岁男性在使用3%过氧化氢（HO）冲洗感染性瘘管修补术后伤口时，突然出现休克和昏迷。几乎所有心电图（ECG）导联均可见明显的ST段抬高。一小时内患者完全康复，心电图恢复正常。这种情况的机制很可能是吸收的HO释放的氧气微泡广泛栓塞。强调了在封闭空间内使用过氧化氢冲洗的危险性。
