The studies involved 1,572 children (780 boys and 792 girls) aged 7 to 14 years from Worcław and Zabkowice. The elastometric method was used. Of 51 spondylometric features 16 were chosen by the dendrit method and recoquized as diagnostic points. When 10 to 16 features are found, the spinal column is comidered to be normal: if there are less than 10 features it is advisable to have child examined orthopedically. The parameters are shown on 32 tables and diagrams and are compared with those of the examined children in order to state whoter their spinal columns are normal or pathological.
