Body type, personality temperament and psychotherapeutic treatment of female adolescents.

In a previous study on emotionally disturbed male adolescents (Stewart, 1980), the subjects were somatotyped in accordance with Sheldon's theory, and the implications of psychotherapeutic treatment were discussed. This is an exploratory study of emotionally disturbed female adolescents in residential treatment at the Anneewakee Treatment Center which seeks to define the population and formulate tentative treatment implications from the results of somatotyping.
