Students preparing for careers potentially influential in legislation, public policy or public opinion had little interest in learning about or supporting programs concerning alcohol misuse. Their attitudes toward alcohol and related policy issues were closely associated with their own drinking practices rather than with interest in or awareness of alcohol-related problems.
