On the basis of own data concerning the formation of low-resistance junctions between fusing loach embryos and other authors' works a possible electrical scheme of a low-resistance junction is discussed. The comparison of curves of transient processes of charging an egg membrane when a current impulse passes through the neighbouring cell to model curves has shown that the ratio between leakage resistance in the contact region and the contact resistance (Ry/Rk) remains high (above 1) during the formation of high permeable contact. This concept agrees with the structural hypothesis on the mechanism of this process.
