Proliferative activity of capillary wall cells in skeletal muscle of rats during long-term treatment with dipyridamole.

Cellular proliferation in skeletal muscle of Sprague-Dawley rats studied by incorporation of 3H-thymidine during administration of dipyridamole (Persantin). The proliferative activity was restricted to capillary wall cells, and the increase during dipyridamole treatment was highly significant (p less than 0.0005).
