[Prevention of the myocardial damaging effect of isadrin by curantil].

As revealed, in experiment on albino pubertal rats single subcutaneous injection of isadrine caused electrocardiographic and ultrastructural alterations characteristic of ischemia and necrosis of the myocardium, as well as of its contractile capacity disturbance. Preliminary three-day administration of curantil in a dose of 10 mg per kg body wt produced a marked protective effect on the isadrin damaged myocardium of pubertal rats.
