Morphological changes in the lungs in Hammen-Rich disease were studied. The developing pneumosclerosis in this disease was found to be associated with the inflammatory involvement of microvessels of the alveolar parenchyma. An adaptive rearrangement of pleural microcirculatory bed vessels under these conditions was demonstrated.
