Anaesthesia in disaster situations and in traumatology will be done with ketamine, propanidid and in some cases with a single shot methohexital. The intravenous injection of ketamine as well as propanidid is followed by a significant increasing of the cerebrospinal fluid pressure. Only barbiturate derivates cause a depression of cerebrospinal fluid pressure. The results are demonstrated in experiments with dogs.
