Abstract

Fourteen female subjects with idiopathic scoliosis and in Milwaukee brace programs participated in a study to determine if the performance of a thoracic flexion exercise recommended by Blount and Moe was effective in immediately reducing thoracic vertebral rotation and lateral deviation. The study found the exercises effective in reducing vertebral rotation and lateral deviation for the duration of the exercise.
