Carcinoma associated with myelomeningocele.

A case is described of an epidermal carcinoma developing at the site of a myelomeningocele in a 50-year-old man. As in the three other cases of this condition which have been reported, the patient died, which reinforces the suggestion that possible malignant changes, though rare, should be taken into account when considering closure of such dysraphic lesions during childhood.
