[A method for the simultaneous placement of two central catheters - via one internal jugular vein (author's transl)].

A method for the simultaneous placement of a vena cava-catheter and a Swan-Ganz-catheter using two different approaches to one internal jugular vein is described. The advantages of this procedure in the management of patients undergoing cardiac surgery are discussed.
