Preliminary results about the influence of Heparin to DNA-distribution patterns of gastric mucosa obtained by flow cytometry are reported. Changes in the configuration of nuclear chromatin, caused by Heparin, are connected with changes in the stainability; thus they are reflected by DNA-distribution patterns. With precaution, some special features in the 4C region of DNA-distribution patterns of gastric mucosa in severe chronic atrophic gastritis and carcinoma are supposed to be attributed to changes in the nuclear chromatin occurring in these diseases.
