Abstract
The effect of different concentrations of cryoprotectant polyethylene oxide (PEO-400) on the mitotic activity of human peripheral blood leucocytes was found to decrease the mitotic activity with a simultaneous increase in the metaphase number as the concentrations of PEO-400 grew. These changes were due to the general mechanism of PEO-400 action associated with its dehydrating and osmotic properties.

研究发现，不同浓度的冷冻保护剂聚环氧乙烷（PEO - 400）对人外周血白细胞有丝分裂活性的影响是，随着PEO - 400浓度的增加，有丝分裂活性降低，同时中期细胞数量增加。这些变化归因于PEO - 400与其脱水和渗透特性相关的一般作用机制。
