It is not unusual these days to locate Crohn's disease. The most obvious points of location are fissures very different to the anal fissure, and fistulae which may be distinguished from anal fistulae because of their superanal roots. The combination of these two complications is symptomatic of Crohn's disease, especially if there are also rectal, colic or ileal lesions.
