A fistula was created between the jugular vein and the common carotid artery in rabbits. The fistula was demonstrated by angiography and embolized using material labelled with iodine 131. The embolization material used was fibrin, Tabotamp, and Lyo-Dura. The migration of the emboli was registered by scintigraphy with an Anger camera. The experiment showed that the embolization material is transported from the small to the great circulation.
