Abstract

Although diversity of educational preparation and professional responsibilities is a distinguishing attribute of the faculty in allied health schools, this heterogeneity can cause inequitable evaluation of faculty for promotion and tenure. Faculty growth contracting is an alternative available to more fairly assess faculty performance. A model for implementing growth contracting is available to allied health schools.
