[Influence of ultrasound on the blood flow through the forearm (author's transl)].

The blood flow therapy through the forearms of 18 young healthy volunteers treated locally by constant and impulse ultrasound was registered by venous occlusion-rheography before the ultrasound treatment and than after 5 minutes of constant ultrasound (1.5 W/cm/) and after 5 minutes of impulse ultrasound (1:5). There was no significant difference between the blood flow before and after application of both forms of ultrasound. These results support the view, that ultrasound has no important influence on release or stimulation of local vasoactive hormones.
